‘Wild Geckos’ Mosaic

This is one of the first mosaics I have ever created. The ‘Wild Geckos’ mosaic is based roughly on Wild Geckos blog logo and the ubiquitous yinyang symbol that holds its roots in Taoism. The yin, the dark swirl, is associated with shadows, femininity, and the trough of a wave; the yang, the light swirl, represents brightness, passion and growth. I was working on it on & off for about 6 months but the work itself took close to 10 days, mosaicing full time 🙂 And I loved every minute of it ?

I used picture frame for backing and ceramic tiles for mosaic. It has been finished with white grout. Size: 40x50cm (+2cm frame).
